Tea, Cookies, and Coloring with WGSS

Join WGSS for tea, cookies, and coloring as a part of the Campus Wellness Takeover Event! This campus-wide event focused on lifting up student well-being and mental health in a visible, approachable way. While classes will be in session, this all-day event is intended to engage students, faculty, and staff in a variety of planned wellness experiences and build community connections throughout the day in person and online.

Trans Zone
Trans Zone Training Dates for Spring 2026 (for both Faculty/Staff and Students)
April 15th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in EUC Willow
Want to learn how to be an ally for your transgender students and peers? Join the Trans Zone workshop! This workshop is open to students, faculty, and staff to learn key concepts, terminology, and actions to support transgender students across campus. Pride Pool Party
Thursday, April 9th, 6:00pm-10:00pm | Kaplan Center Natatorium
Offered as part of UNCG’s Pride Month celebrations, Recreation & Wellness is partnering with Campus Activities & Programs and the Office of Intercultural Engagement to bring you the party of the year! Join the fun in the pool if you’re up for a fun float around and some in-water games OR stay dry and take in all the activities and entertainment happening around the Lower Lobby of the pool area (Natatorium). Don’t miss the main event…a LIVE drag show featuring our local Greensboro queens! We’ll have a DJ, free food, giveaways, and opportunities to engage with LGBTQ+ supporting agencies from UNCG and the greater Greensboro community. Queer & Coffee: Authentic Living After UNCG!
Thursday, April 23rd, 3:00pm – 4:00pm | EUC Azalea
Join OIE for a conversation about authentically living in your identity post-graduation! Free coffee will be provided for attendees.
“Queer & Coffee” is a monthly gathering that creates space for thoughtful conversation, learning, and connection among LGBTQ+ students and the broader campus community. Each session centers on a specific topic and is facilitated through guided discussion, interactive activities, or guest speakers.


OIE Lavender Award Ceremony

OIE is hosting the first Lavender Awards, an opportunity to honor the students, faculty, and staff that have contributed to the LGBTQ+ community at UNCG and beyond! Scan the QR code to nominate a member of UNCG’s community.

UNCG Pride Month Food Drive for the Spartan Open Pantry
For all of April, bring a non-expired food to OIE for a rainbow fan (while supplies last) and a chance to win a prize pack!
Every little bit helps, but the SOP is in particular need of:

- Flour
- Sugar
- Salt
- Oil
- Condiments

Join students that have studied abroad for a roundtable discussion centered around their experiences as LGBTQ+ and allied students. Students considering or preparing for international travel will get a chance to hear common anticipations before departure, gather insight on life abroad, and understand what it’s like to adjust to life back home as an LGBTQ+ student.
