Your application and two references are due Friday, October 5 at 11:59 pm.

What are the benefits of being a SCOPE?
• To afford peer educators opportunities to clarify individual identities and personal understanding of other identities and experiences;
• To develop high level facilitation skills;
• To provide an intellectual space for students who value social justice to unite;
• To form a supportive network with other peer facilitators across campus;
• To enhance leadership skills and intercultural competence of peer educators;
• To inspire peer educators to incorporate social justice ideals into their lives after college.

Attend an Interest Meeting
If you intend to apply to be a SCOPE, it is highly suggested that you attend one of the following interest meetings to learn more about this leadership development program:

Monday, September 24 at 4:30pm in EUC 062
Friday, September 28 at 1:00pm in EUC 062
Tuesday, October 2 at 7:30pm in EUC 062

Application Process

Please complete an online application due Friday, October 5 at 5 PM. You can find the application here:

In your application, you will be asked to list two UNCG faculty/staff references. It is your responsibility to ask for your references to submit the reference form on your behalf by Friday, October 5 at 5 PM. You can find the reference form here:

Selected applicants will be asked to create a 10 minute social justice presentation and complete a 30 minute interview.

Before applying, please note that SCOPEs will be required to attend weekly meetings and attend training scheduled during the first weekend of each semester.
